Our online life started with this thought:

Suppose all the information stored on computers everywhere were linked. Suppose I could program my computer to create a space in which everything could be linked to everything. – Sir Tim Berners-Lee, Inventor of the World Wide Web.

The World Wide Web (WWW), invented by Sir Tim Berners-Lee, turned turned 30 years (1989-2019…) earlier this year on March 12.
The idea which envisioned a “universal linked Information System” practically gave birth to the interconnected online world we live in and make use of today.

The goal was to create a place where any information (graphics, audio & video) can be found and accessed on many platforms (desktop, mobile, etc.)

This post shows archive images of some of the most popular Social Networking websites when they started and how they’ve improved in comparison with their current design and features.
